This is the web page for the “Partners in Learning” in Poland initiative.

“Partners in Learning” is Microsoft’s long-term educational programme, which empowers students and teachers to realize their full potential, by partnering with education and government leaders through providing education resources – tools, programmes, practices...

The programme is intended to offer assistance to schools, teachers and students as regards improving skills in application of Information and Communication Technology. By providing suitable products and services, “Partners in Learning” facilitates the process of ICT-enhanced transfer of knowledge to students.

The main aim of the Programme is to decrease the digital exclusion risk by striving to integrate the Information and Communication Technologies into the school environment, including all its actors – teachers, students, administration staff and parents.

The programme is an important step in implementing a culture of innovation - it helps young people understand how to thrive in the modern technology-driven world.

On 27 February 2004, a letter of intent was signed with the Polish Ministry of National Education, whereby the PiL Programme was launched and is now well underway. One of the pillars of the Polish edition of „Partners in Learning” are the Microsoft Regional Innovation Centers – leading teacher training institutions aiming for expansion of ICT skills and actively involved in development and implementation of high quality educational projects.
